You know the Germans will take these trees, hollow them out and make planters out of them that are all the rage here...well, sort of, the rage as in people want them...but no one knows how to make them...is it's not a rage so much as a desired thing. I have several stumps with interesting holes...I'm drying them out and plan to put plants in them next season. I just love how they repurpose and make things out of tree stumps and limbs over there. Very nice photos.
