We thought we'd go to the Sternbräu. I heard it was being remodeled but figured at least some part of it would be open. Well, the whole thing is GONE. It's a big hole in the ground in the middle of Salzburg! Don't worry though, it's scheduled to open again......in the beginning of 2015!!!

I'm sure that when it reopens it will retain some of the character it once had despite being totally reinvented. The Austrians just seem to respect tradition ... even in new constructions.

WOW! I hope they still have the old room (new but still the way it was) I always liked taking students there to see 'old world' type restaurants! I wonder about their staff! Did they get laid off or what happens (that one waitress has been there since birth!) ha. These are amazing...I can't believe it! I'm sorta sad, I hope they don't theme-park the new one and make it all, well, you know!
