the mountains are such a beautiful place to visit. I haven't been to the Rockies for quite awhile but I hope to go in October- they are so majestic looking. I love the contrast of the green with the glaciers. Some of our glaciers are really shrinking too- it is a bit scary to see the weather and land changes. The Canadian Rockies are about a 4 hour drive from our home. My grandparents farm was in the foothills and you could look out and see the mountains from their kitchen window.
