Hi! Gorgeous photos! Thanks for sharing the images from the bridge. You know people are attaching locks to bridges all over the world. Two years ago Steve and I walked over the Brooklyn Bridge and couldn't stop snapping photos of all the locks. I'm so glad Salzburg is allowing this to happen! Susan
I've seen it in Graz too and all over the place over here. In Munich, they cut the locks off once a year from the Bridge by the Zoo where People hang them. But I think hanging them is neat...it's harmless, hopeful and probably a Special Moment for many of the People who hang them. It doesn't hurt anyone or anything and it does make for great photos!
A love lock or love padlock is a padlock which sweethearts lock to a bridge, fence, gate, or similar public fixture to symbolize their love. Typically the sweethearts' names or initials are inscribed on the padlock, and its key is thrown away to symbolize unbreakable love. You're welcome!
I wish Wardle's was still open, I'd go buy a real special one to bring and put on there....I'll keep looking though...I'm totally doing it next trip there!
